I'd always been put off trying shaker cards by trying to get the foam tape around the edge perfect and the static cling of the acetate. I've sorted one of those problems!!
I'd seen a video somewhere of someone using foam sheets to die cut the shape required and decided to try the same thing. I quick raid of the kid's crafty stash revealed no foam sheets so I die cut about 16 card circles instead to use between the acetate layers.
I'd a vague plan to make the shaker with acetate on both sides and with the huge 8x8" cards I'd found in a drawer, I'd be able to create a scene behind the shaker too. I gave up on that plan once I saw how hard it was to see through. You'll have to take my work for it that within the globe there's a die cut treeline and a star. Along with two kinds of glitter, Flower Soft, beads and some fabric snowflakes I found.
Papers are by First Edition, holly leaf die and card blanks from DoCrafts, circle dies from Spellbinders and sentiment stamp from My Sentiments Exactly. I think it's the first time I've made a card large enough to fit the stamp across it!
Definitely not a card to send through the post, this one!
