This is really much prettier IRL...I just could not get a good photo. I know it seems odd for the MIX77, but this is made from scraps and they really do reoresent me. I am the only person born in Southern California who does not like the beach. I like to hike. This rock was picked up a while ago on a family hike and had been sitting on my desk. Of course, since I love crafts, when I go on hikes I see everything in terms of a craft project. This rock just shouted "paint me". I do always refer to inanimate objects (craft supplies etc) taking to me, but it really is just a figure of speech...I'm not crazy yet. The image was colored awhile ago and reminded me of the summer driving trips when I was a kid. It had a big blotch of ink on it and I couldn't use it. Since I had to tear the image to fit the rock, I was able to rip off the boo boo. As anyone who lives where they actually have a fall (certainly not here in So Cal) the leaves are very bright. So, I also used this for the MIX77. Lots of mediums used...copics, prisma pencils, inka gold rub, distress inks, black gel pen and gesso to lighten the dark areas of the rock. TFL, Francie

That old mill with the water flowing down is a lovely image - how great that you were able to rescue it and create this. The bright trees are gorgeous and have a lovely echo in the little floral posy.

Frannie this is stunning! Wait a minute while I pick my jaw off the floor. Beautiful, full of symbolism, just a total work of art. I, too, 'hear' inanimate objects speaking to me, so we'll just keep that between ourselves, right? Thanks for playing!

I don't know how I missed this one, Francie, but WOW! What a gorgeous painting! I wouldn't buy stamps if I could paint like this! I too like to hike and prefer it over the beach! Love that raffia you added!
