I chose to do a monochromatic, accordion gatefold - so much fun, but a bit of a challenge to decorate. This will go to my sister, Janet, who is in a nursing home. I'm always looking for something different to send her. I've been sending her a card each week for over a year and a half and the inside is always a particular challenge. Dies: MB/Prim Poppy, Perky Poppy & Bee Skep - SB/Valiant Honor - CL/Tiny things w/Wings. Punch: MS Diamond Fence.

Priscilla, first I am so sorry to hear about your sister...check out the MMTPT and consider having the rest of us brighten her day. How great you are for sending a weekly card...this must really cheer her up, and this card is spectacular. Your placement and choice of die cuts is amazing. I think momochromatic cards are the hardest to make, and you aced it. Just gorgeous.

What a beautiful monochromatic card you are sending to your sister! And what a thoughtful sister you are! We were both on the same wavelength today -- with the bees!

Wow. And wow! This is just beautiful, Priscilla. I keep looking at it to see all the different details. As Francie said, you really aced this white on white; I personally find them very hard. And the decorative borders on the inner side panels really add to the garden feel, like a decorative trellis.

There are cards and there are cards like THIS one! Your heart and soul is in this and it shows! What an incredible beauty, Priscilla! It's so beautifully designed and I love that textured paper adding to the elegance. I am sorry to hear about your sister but she must have the largest collection of gorgeous cards in the entire world! Right into favorites!
First I'm sorry to hear you sister is in a nursing home. Second how grand of you to send her cards. I bet she looks forward to them each week. You are putting some sunshine in her day.
Now your card is gorgeous. I love all the dies and the textured paper. She will love this one.

I agree that monochromatic cards are hard to create, but even more so when they are white or vanilla! But oh how beautiful this one looks! Very sweet with the bees and hive and the flowers they will be hovering over to get their nectar! So cute for your sister. Thanks for the tip today. I tried all that I could think of without damaging the card, they opted to use my finger.
