This is actually a remake of a previous card. I'm counting embossing, dry embossing and crayon rubbing as my 3 textures. I would have added some twine, but I am trying to live up to a goal of making framed pieces each month (Don't even ask how many frames, canvases, etc are in my stash!). I had stamped the bg with Weathered in Soft Suede. I embossed my poppies in black and colored them with markers and wet brush with ink. For my added texture. I laid the piece over some burlap and rubbed my watercolor crayon. I did run my finger over some of this around the poppies to blend in the color in these areas. I also took the Sahara Sand crayon and added a little shading around the poppies. The frame was embossed then sponged. I cut the oval out of the center and sponged its edges too.

I really like the swirly mat for your poppies. Great picture for your gold frame. I won't ask how many frames you have but..once you get pictures for all of them do you have a place to hang them ?

Beautiful matting and love what you did with it, Gail! Your bg for these poppies is a work of art in itself! A perfect frame for these flowers; great texture~
