A card for S2S14Y, to use shades of brown. Browns are ideal for man cards, but I have a pack of elegant brown papers, which I though would be perfect for my friend's birthday. I rolled some roses out of an envelope. I find envelopes are the right weight for doing this. Cardstock is just too thick.
This card was also inspired by Marion's lovely vintage cards, in particular this one SC468 SC469 by mr33634 at Splitcoaststampers
Marion is our queen for this day this week and she has an amazing gallery.

Wow Ina..this is absolutely gorgeous. I love that fabulous background paper and the flowers too. I am going to give the envelope idea a try. Truly a great way to honour our queen.

Super card Ina. Hurricane Arthur hit our area. We have been 4 days no power, no water, no fans, no phone, NO COFFEE! Hubby and I are both cranky. Thank goodness today the power came back but still many without. Items in frig and freezer are all gone.
Shredder truck came today and 24 banker boxes of paper gone, gone, gone! My life is consumed with this purging/moving process. I'll try to stay in touch but contributing will be spotty. If you are alright with that, I still want to be part of the group. Lots to learn from all you and you are all a pleasant and fun group!
