This is my layout for the SBSC38 this week. OK, I had to flip the right and left pages of the orginal sketch and sort of rearrange the title from the original sketch to make more sense with my huge photo on the left page, but other than those two little things, it is the same sketch as what was posted!!!!! =)
I am an athletic trainer at a high school, and this LO is about Friday night football games. I snapped the enlarged photo of the stadium lights, but I was given the other photos (along with many others!) from some of the high school yearbook staff kids (because it is a little hard to take pictures when I am working at the game....)
The journaling reads:
"Football season. Hot. Humid. Bloody. Chaotic. August through October is the busiest time of the year for me. Football season gets more and more fun every year. IÂ’ll admit, I hate sitting through two-a-days. I hate watching kids puke. IÂ’m not crazy about cleaning up blood. I get tired of constantly evaluating new football injuries. DoctorÂ’s visits. Rehab. Monday through Thursday seems so long! But, then Friday night comes along. And I suddenly remember why my job is so much fun. The lights. The screaming crowd. The smell of a freshly painted football field. For the next two hours, I get wrapped up in a high school football game. I get excited. I get nervous. I want our team to do well! A player gets hurt. The crowd gasps. I remember that I actually am working, not just enjoying the game. I run out on the field. Discuss options with doctors. Emotional parents. Heartbroken coaches. Another game ends. Win or lose, I really enjoy high school football. There is just something about those Friday night lights."
