I sold something on eBay and somehow ended up with a $10.00 coupon. I love these square EF so I found this one (free shipping) and basically got the EF I used on this for free. So of COURCE I needed to use it! This is an anniversary card for our son Pat and his wife. When this tree was released from Memory Box I just had to have it. I love trees in every form and many beautifully ones surrounds our home. I own tree stamps, EF and dies but if you were to look in my gallery you would only see one or two cards made with trees. Why... I have no idea. I guess I just like collecting them. I have pulled this one out on numerous occaisons, played with it and moved on to something else. I FINALLY made up my mind that it needed to be used. I had some lovely suede like brown paper and that is what I cut it in. It is popped up with itty bit pieces of dimensional squares. The heart is from the smallest of an OLD set of three from Spellbinders. I have used the largest of the set on many anniversary cards but I don't think I have used this one. It snuggled right into those branches! I used two of the birds from the little bird set from Memory Box and cut them three times and stacked them so they would have a little dimension as well..I used both a Spellbinder and a MemoryBox die to back my sentiment. It was late getting to them as I had thier anniversary on the wrong day on the calendar....I know...very lame! But none-the-less made with a great deal of love!
Thank you for stopping by! It is so much appreciated.

Love that graceful tree, Peggy! I too have the largest collection of tree stamps. I love how you combine your dies to create these beauties and you probably guessed how much I love the neutral colors! I have not heard of the square embossing folders but how beautiful those corners are! I love that you sell on ebay too. Isn't that a great way to trade old stuff for new stuff? I'd love to see your die collection!

I love how you snuggled that hear into the tree. Pretty, symmetrical trees always remind me of the "family tree" and I think that's why I'm so attracted to them. They give me a comfortable, warm feeling - so perfect for an anniversary.

Peggy, when I saw this it took me right back to my quilting days. I never did this type of hand work. I took a day class at a college and 15 minutes into the day, I KNEW that hand sewing was NOT for me! It made for a LONG day! I kept trying but never liked it!
This card is beautiful and I am sure your son and his wife! tfs

There is something very rooted about trees. (and I looked for another word to avoid the pun but nothing came to me) I love the symbolism you have portrayed in your anniversary card. So heartfelt! A truly beautiful card for an anniversary. I don't know how I missed seeing this one before but I am glad it caught my eye today!
