The base card was languishing in my stash from a couple of Christmases ago when I ended up stamping more bases than I needed. You can't see well on the card, but it is stamped with the SU Aida cloth BG stamp, tone on tone. Not positive, but I think it was stamped with Real Red inkpad.
Used post-it tape to block off the portion of the Pleasant Poppies BG stamp I wanted to use, then stamped, cut and colored it.
Matted with black c/s, adhered to the card base and then stamped my image from PTI.
Love how it ended up, and really love that I was able to extend the use of my PP BG stamp.
TFL!

So pretty. Now that you've mentioned the stamped background I can see it ... but it's very subtle and I'm sure more visible in real life. A gorgeous card.

Gorgeous card Debbie. So you with all the red :-) Love how you cropped the poppies and made a skinny card. What are your dimensions for your card? TFS my friend.

Wow, this is stunning. I never would have thought to use such dramatic colors for a sympathy card but it works so well.

This is REALLY beautiful! I love that you used the red border from a Christmas past to make this beautiful Poppy card. I can see the light pattern in the border...LOVE IT! Your coloring ROCKS on this and it is a wonderful Sympathy card.
