Hey Girl... Don't look into his eyes! This sexy pirate will have you under his spell in no time. LOL
Inspired by one of my favorite movies of all time: The Notebook. Oh how I love that movie - makes me cry every single time. Some of you will recognize Noah. I used an image found on the internet for his face... and then thought he needed a hat. I used a digital image of a pirate hat that I purchased from DeviantScrap.com. I reduced the size of the hat and now it fits him perfectly. The skull on his hat is a brad. Added some color with Prisma Pencils and some blue and green Stickles and his hat is stylin'. hee hee
His tail is covered with blue and green Ball Chain. This took a lot of time, but worth it in the end and adds some great texture for his "scales."
His sweetheart is made of shrink plastic. She is really tiny. In the movie, Noah, stays with his sweetheart and never abandons her. sigh...
I made a little matchbox gift set to go along with him. The mini mermaid fits inside the box comfortably for the journey to her new home.
Special thanks to NormaT here on SCS for the netting. Norma sent me a generous gift of that cool net ribbon years ago. I've used it on several projects and just love it. I've saved every little scrap - nothing goes to waste. LOL Thank you, Norma!
MaryAnn - I used that cool paint you told me about on his arms. Fantasy Paint by Pebeo. I love that stuff. So easy. I applied a heavy coat of the paint on the arms and it formed all those circle scale-like designs as it dried. Fun stuff! Thank you, MaryAnn - you Rock!
Thanks for looking!
