I am thrilled to be able to upload a card after a long absence, I cannot express how much it means to be able to do this again, how I've missed this!!!
This card was made for a dear friend, Sally's birthday, she treasures handmade cards and keeps them--it was an absolute pleasure to make this for her!!! I also made an almost identical card as a Mother's Day card for my Mom--it arrived a bit late, but I think she liked it anyway...
I took some ideas from a HC card kit (front only) but changed it and added on to it... The main stamped image was fussy cut and then colored using daubers with the green and red inks, as were all of the die cuts from the Burnished Keys dies. I added glossy accents to the Sweet Memories Key. Glitter was added to the patterned base and the main stamped image. Using the HC Floral Keys paper pack and other patterned papers from stash, Vintage Floret flowers were cut out then formed using the mat and tools, as was the Sweet Juliet leaves flourish. They were colored with 3D Stemple paints. Some of the flowers had crackle paint added for textural interest. This was my first card using HC floral dies that I shaped with the pad and tools--fun and easy!!! I've used these flowers on other cards and look forward to learning how to make more intricate flowers...
Thanks so much for taking the time to view this card. I appreciate your comments, and learn from them.
