Marie has given us a fun story this week in honour of little 3 year old Finley from Kansas. Finley has severe health problems and we hope our cards bring some sunshine to her day.
Our challenge is to bring girly fun to Penelope – the only girl living in Mannville. We get bonus cookies if we bring a princess, so allow me to present Princess Penelope. I can think of nothing more girly than having a bubble bath and as you probably know it unwise to wear your tiara in the bath.
Little Princess Penelope (complete with bath and pot plant) started out life as a Sassy Cheryl digi image. I have not added the usual scars or severed limbs as little Finley is only three.
Most of this was coloured using an aqua pen and Gelatos, I also used a couple of pink Twinkling H2O’s. The gelatos are great fun (and very easy) to colour with. The black outline ink from the computer was a bit overpowering in places so I just went over it with a Sharpie white paint pen. The paint pen is great for tidying up when you paint outside the lines LOL. After colouring the image I used my ScorPal to score faux tiles (hard to see in photo).
I used dimensional magic to look like water droplets. I had trouble getting it out of the bottle, I squeezed it so hard that a heap of it splurted out the sides and fell on the card. I covered up the ‘oops’ moment by adding a bucket load of super fine glitter. I added a few more girly embellishments, bubbles etc.
This is super colourful and sparkly in real life, the photo doesn’t reflect the true colours.
Nothing drastic to report this week, although I must say I have some very impressive bruises from last weeks tree incident. Thank you for looking and have a great week everyone.

Susie, your cards always stand out in the gallery...I know they are yours before even looking at the name. This is too cute with all the pink, sparkles and bubbles. Very soft and girly and perfect for the special little girl who will get it.
