A big congrats to Barb, the newest Featured Stamper! She has a lovely gallery and I chose This
card to case. I kept the oval & similar colors but I used a vertical layout & made a Melted Crayon background (a cousin of Encaustic Wax) for the WT485 challenge, instead of using designer paper.
This was the first time IÂ’ve tried the melted crayon background & I loved playing around with it. I made quite a fewÂ…it was hard to stop! Since I really like how this background turned out, I kept everything else simpleÂ…a greeting on a white frame & some die cuts. I donÂ’t think IÂ’ve had this much fun with crayons in a long time!
Congrats again, Barb! Thanks so much for looking! It's just been posted on my blog: The Write Stuff..please note, the server for my blog has been up & down all night, so it may or may not load right away.

WOW Julie! Gorgeous! Your encaustic painting turned out fantastic and you even managed to get your colors to work into a scene! Mostly I had melted wax all over! Gorgeous and love how you used this beautiful, artistic piece of art!

Beautiful Julie! The crayon colors mixed for a gorgeous background. I have to try this technique. It's a new one for me. Thanks for playing along... Barb

Wow! this reminded me of those shapes you are tested on to see what you see in them. I see a beautiful mountain scene with grasses in the front and clouds in the sky! This card simply ROCKS!!!!
