For this card I did a LOT of building up of inks and stamping. It was hard to know where to stop, but I think I like it just like this. I started by inking up a piece of bubble wrap with So Saffron and stamping it onto Very Vanilla. Then I overstamped it with the Dictionary stamp in Old Olive, which turned out WAY too dark for my liking. To soften it up, I rubbed a Whisper White inkpad directly over the panel, which gave it a whitewashed look and toned down the Old Olive. Unfortunately it also toned down the bubble wrap print, so I did that again with Crushed Curry (but it hardly shows). All the other stamping and watercoloring was kind of an adventure because once I whitewashed the piece, all the subsequent colors seemed to fade in and wash out, no matter what I did. I kept using darker colors and adding more stuff, and in the end I kind of love it! I added a bit of linen thread at the very bottom because I wanted some embellishment but I didn't want it to detract from the collage-y goodness of the stamping, LOL! No DSP was used here, the background is all done with stamps and inks.
