The background for my SweetStamps beach bear was created by tearing paper to mask off the areas and sponging on the color. I used Stampin Up colors: Creamy Caramel, Cool Caribbean, Bashful Blue. The caramel was a little darker than I liked for beach sand so I masked the area again and rubbed on Brilliance - white using the direct to paper technique.
The waves and foam were created with a Signo pen using a dot method for application.
The sky was sponged on using my cloud template - look in the right side bar under tutorials for a pattern to make your own from acetate or cardstock.
The beach sand was created using Mudd Puddles - Malibu Beach.
Copic markers bear colors: fur- E37,35,34,33, 30 over all in a dot method, R81,83 for pink cheeks and ears, surfboard - BG05,02,01,000, 23, Y19,18,15,13,11, R29,27,24,22, Y38,35
The QuicKutz palm tree die was sponged on the leaves with Ranger Distress Ink - Mowed Lawn. The coconuts were cut with the Tiny Tags die from Cuttlebug and I poked it numerous times with a straight pin to add texture and glued to the tree with Aleene's tacky glue. The tree is attached with Elmer's glue dots.
The bear is attached with foam tape and Elmer's glue dots at the bottom of the surfboard in the sand area.
I used the Envelope Punch Board to make my envelope and when finished they are larger in height than the store bought A2 size envelope so it allows room for the palm tree over hang the card. I will place it in the envelope with the palm leaves to the top of the envelope.
Paper: Stampin Up - Cool Caribbean, Bazzill - green, dark grey, brown, A Division of Creativity - red linen, unknown white, Beckett Expressions - Radiance for bear image
