A card for my former French teacher. I watercoloured this. The paper got so warped, I ironed it. I coloured the bird's face with Copics. Then I stamped some sand texture onto the sand area.

I was going to say I was amazed the paper warped so much, and then I looked at the texture in it and then I realised it wasn't watercolour paper, so now that makes sense. You certainly smoothed it out perfectly with your ironing, LOL. It's cute - I love it. And it made me laugh because I remember DH pricking himself on one of those in Greece - I don't think he'd thought about the name and what it actually meant. Love your little bird.

What a fun card! I love that you used watercolor and what a great tip to iron the paper back flat! I would have never thought to do that! Love your stamped sand

Weren't you so smart to unwarp with an iron. I only use my iron for crafting.LOL! I love your thinking here, using the cactus and bird. Great use of sand for the challenge, Sophie!

This is adorable, Sophie! Love that cactus and the little bird. Ironing...hmmm. I don't iron clothes but I've been known to use a iron for art projects. Guess it's all in the priorities, lol.
