I saw this tutorial by Deb Valder today: http://stampladee.com/rockin-record-...ith-deb-valder and since I just happened to need a birthday card for my musical brother, I thought this would be fun to try. Thank you Deb.
I did things a bit differently than Deb did. I used my cricut to cut the black circles then traced them to do the white card base. I then used circle nestabilities to cut the other circles.
I printed the insert for the center of the record (spindle adapter) from my computer then cut and traced it.
I totally forgot to do the window sheet until it was too late :( so I spread some crystal effects all over the front to make it shiny. It doesn't show up very well here. I then used a fine point sharpie to try to make some "groove lines".
I think that covers it. I hope my brother likes his card
I'm going to enter this into the June Diva Dare "A Man's World" at Verve: http://vervestamps.blogspot.ca/

Oh wow: this is awesome! This would be PERFECT for my husband's or nephew's birthdays as their hobby is playing in a band! Popped it into my favourites!

Wow! How clever, and I'm old enough to remember 45's! LOL! What a super card, and I agree with Jocelyn above, it would make a great card for someone in a band! I'm sure your brother liked it!! Hugs!
