Another card for the current IO Masculine Card challenge - since I had the time and still had plenty of inspiration from Saturday's The Art of Journalling IC challenge. I was inspired by THIS PIN.
Cream base. I wanted a suede look so I tried making faux suede from Core-dinations. Discovery - it may be much easier to pull the layers apart than it is with Bazzill, but it gives a more blotchy look, not like suede at all. So I used the wanna-be suede side for die-cutting the tree and leaf, and the original side for my main panel. I stamped Geologic along the bottom with the lines running horizontally, and embossed with clear EP. I also stamped it vertically using just Versamark over the rest of the card. Added the tree and leaf, punched the oval tabs and added brads coated with copper EP and pressed against the Geologic stamp. Layered on black and done. A super-quick card for a hot sunny day. I like the look - it makes me think of Japanese wood-block prints, a bit.

Nice interpretation of that pin, Sabrina! And lovely use of Geologic through out! I agree, this has a Japanese wood-block feel to it. I do love how it turned out!
