A last card (today at least ;-)) for today's The Art of Journalling IC challenge.
Overall this isn't particularly inspired by any one pin in particular but all the art journalling gave me a push to ink up this stamp. However, I did base my little flowers on THIS PIN. They reminded me of drier-sheet flowers, but mine are tiny little things made from scraps of salted technique background left from VSN last weekend. The largest punch is 3/4", ranging down to 3/16". I drew the stems with white and gold pens, crumpled the flowers and added gold Stickles to the centre.
The bird is from Carte Postale.
I tried stamping some birds directly on my gessoed book page but didn't like it - that ended up in the bin and I had to start over...
Old sheet music coated with gesso, stamped and coloured with pencils. Stencilled some grass into the foreground... I tore a frame, curled the edges slightly and laid it over the stamped image. Doodled a frame, and then added the flowers.
I had a little button I so wanted to use - pearly white with two little stick figures on it. I definitely want to figure out how to use it with this image because the scale is right to go with it, but it wasn't coming together on this particular card.

You're on a roll Miss IC!! Another wonderfully inspired design with a real flair for color and dimension! Keep it coming! (P.S. I actually think this one captures the true spirit of the board itself!)

What a great doodled border...do you have a web site for border ideas or are tbey all in your head. I seem to have a limited range of doodled edges. Creativity just oozes from this card. What a delight to look at.

I really like this..as Audrie said it does capture so much of the themes found on the journal pages. The flowers are so cool and that quote is wonderful. Awesome card with some fabulous details!
