So good to be back joining in the challenges, I have been busy moving my dear Mum into a retirement village this past month.
Had to join in the QFTD challenge this week as it is to honour Queen Nancy (stiz2003). Nancy's gallery is full of artistic, beautiful cards and she is always so kind with the comments she leaves on other's cards - a very worthy Queen! Here is the card I chose -
I loved the burst of colour on Nancy's card so I used this week's colours and my new stencil from Memory Box and sponged with Strawbery Slush & So Saffron ink. Die cut the butterfly from scrap dp and added the pearls. This is also for this week's WTUI challenge to Let the Sun Shine.
TFL! Enjoy your week as Queen, Nancy!

Wow, Sue! This is SO clever, stenciling over that fabulous die cut! This is what I call genius, the colors and that awesome stencil that I think I have to have! Love those rays! Thank you for playing today!

Sue, great minds think alike :-). I love your take on Nancy's card. It is amazing how 2 or more can case the same card, yet have completely different designs. Great card in Nancy's honor.

Wow, Sue - what a gorgeous butterfly that is! I love the floral paper you used for it, and the pearls. A lovely stencilled sun, too.
I hope your mother settles in well and is happy, or at least content, in her new home.

Sue, You achieved a wonderful impressionist feeling with the stenciling and delicate die cut butterfly. The way the two designs meld into one another is amazing....and beautiful. A lovely card for all challenges.
