I was in Joann's the other day and picked up one of their idea sheets which showed a card using adhesive cork and boardwood DP. I liked the way the two textures looked together and was determined that I was going to make a card using this idea. This week's Queen for the Day, Nancy (a/k/a stiz2003) had a card in her gallery, Snowmen by the Fence, which had elements very close to those on the idea sheet. Changes from Queen Nancy's card on mine are:
* A2 shape rather than square
* Birthday rather than Christmas
* Eliminated the stitching
Congratulations to you, Nancy. You deserve this honor.

Cork and wood are two things I absolutely love on a card, Lois. They look super together on your fantastic, masculine card! I never seem to have enough of them. Thank you for this honor, Lois!

Very very cool card Lois! Love the cork and woodgrain bg together! I'll have to remember this for my Father's Day card!

Terrific masculine card Lois! That trio of ducks look great against the natural textures of your background. Wonderful take on Nancy's card. I like this a lot!

Super card and I really like the use of the cork. I cased her same snowman card once but used the image she used.
