Well, this card has been one disaster after another! Sabrina asked us to make a sunny card today, and I thought, easy peasy! First, the Versafine black ink smeared on the sun panel after I had the entire card nearly put together. Then, having to put the sentiment on a separate panel to save the card, I had the same smearing problem twice, after heat setting even - ugh! Then decided to emboss so got out some more white cs and after 2 tries I realize my black ep is not working - probably too old. Okay, so we'll try the 3rd ink and stamp the sentiment with Memento ink, which doesn't smear as easily on Whisper White cs. I thought this was going to be a CAS card, but in my hands, it was not! Guess I should go wash windows or something and get out of my craft room! TFL

Oh so sorry you had so many troubles along the way, but as I always say... one of the biggest skills in card making is how to cover up goofs. I had the exact same thing with my card today... had it all done, picked it up with Primrose ink on my fingers and messed up a spot on the sun rays... and then, the sequins were born. LOL! LOVE your end result and great sentiment!

The sponging in your sun is amazing - you've given it such depth that it almost looks as if the sun had been layered underneath the main panel. I'm sorry you had such a struggle with the sentiment - I hate it when that happens. But it's a wonderful sentiment to go with the happy upbeat feel of your card. It may not have been CAS to make, but the end result is!!

I know what you mean about embossing powder not working right. I didn't know if mine was too old or if the paper had something to do with it. I can't seem to find a gold embossing powder work for me anymore, even new ones I have bought. If you know a good brand, let me know. Even my SU which I thought once worked now doesn't. I guess it is old. I think your card turned out great even if it didn't in your mind's eye.
