Becky presented a lovely palette of colors for today's CC:
So Saffron
Smoky Slate
Strawberry Slush
There was a dessert of twine which I did not add since my card has a more formal look and I don't think of twine as being formal.
This birthday card is for a special friend and will be hand-delivered with a gift. I didn't have Becky's chosen gray, so used a gray that I thought was close. It was a great bg color for the scrolls of the die cuts. The rolled roses were tinted with the SU reinkers and an aqua brush.

Yes, this a beautiful and formal card and I agree that the twine would not compliment it. The white over gray is beautiful and your handmade roses are gorgeous. I have never made those rolled flowers but this sure does make me want to give it a try. Your friend will cherish it!

I love those rolled roses. I send all the cards I make, either to family and friends or to Operation Write Home. As a result, I don't make those flowers. Yours are always so pretty, but do you send them?
