For the F4A223 to use something from our stash, I took outa bag of unopened stencils that had been sitting in the closet. I have wanted to try this sun ray stencil for awhile. Boy did I use glue for the MIX70 challenge to use glue. I sponged the raspberry, marmelade and mustard through the stencil. Leaving the stencil in place, I covered the inked areas with clear glue. What a time I had getting the ink and glue off the stencil. After the glue dried I used the direct to paper technique to color the bkg. Wiped the ink aff the sun reys with a kleenex. Stamped the light house, boat and birds with black pigment ink. Filled in areas with black gel pen. Highlighted with white gel pen. Gets a 10 on the "messy scale", but it was fun. TFL, Francie

Oh, my word! May have been a lot of messiness, but look at the gorgeous results! Your rays are phenomenal! Love this nautical beauty; great piece of artwork~

Gorgeous rich colours. Thanks for the tip that glue is NOT easy to clean off stencils. Just as I came here to comment, I was wondering about using a stencil - but I'll learn from you and pass. But it does account for how you have such a textured look on this - at first I thought it was an embossing folder, but then you wouldn't have been able to stamp the lighthouse and boat so easily.
