Serendipity was on my side today!
I looked at the inspiration photos for the current ODBD challenge, and while it may sound an odd thing, I homed in on the candles on the mantelpiece in the second photo, and instantly thought of this verse.
Then I checked out today's sketch challenge - and turned on its side, I saw two candles - so, a quick and easy card which seems to be all I have time for midweek these days.
I meant my base to be sponged in a green to match the first photo, I don't know what happened there. But hey, I've captured the feeling with the neutral colours and light airiness .
A2 base sponged with a rather dry ColorBox pad.
Paper is K&Co, edges sponged with lavender.
I stamped the verse on white card, sponged with Antique Linen, sponged the edges with Lavender and then used the negative of the bird wing (my candle flame) to sponge a candle flame over the sentiment.
I embossed my "candles" just to add a bit more visual interest, and sponged them with Old Paper. The wick is twine, the flame is the bird's wing from SU's bird builder punch.
Sentiment popped up on foam.

Oops. did someone's candle go out? The straight pieces are perfect for candles and you did really well by using the embossing folder that you did. Perfect.
