My attempts at water coloring, most ended up in trash can. This was retrieved from trash as the more I tried the worse it got. I decided to die cut it, popped and mounted, stamped Thank you from SU Wonderful Words and called it O.K.
I think I need to take a class...you would be appalled if I told you how I did this, so I will keep the details to myself. :-)
Supplies:
Tim Holtz Peeled paint, Pine Needles
Lovely Lilac SU
PB stamp "Andante" (Another one of my very first stamps)
SU Spritzer

Peggy this is gorgeous! Love the watercolor technique and that fabulous font on the scripted thank you! I also love the splatter, a technique you mastered and I'm still trying to not hit walls.

Now Peggy, you are way too critical on yourself... This is absolutely beautiful, it really captures the beauty of the watercolor technique. I really like the softness of the image, I can't believe that you were going to trash this beauty..... Love it... tfs

It cannot be any worse than the things I have tried...
and I am also leaning towards taking a class...
but, seriously the colors are fabulous.
I have also "cut out" some of mine in attempts to use the pieces.
this doily shape gives it such a delicate look.

No matter how you got there ... this is really beautiful. You did a wonderful job of watercoloring. I believe there is a steep learning curve for this medium ... at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it! I have taken the class and still can't seem to make anything that I'm completely happy with.
