It is really hard to see but this is what I did for the background! I used a large embossing folder and masked off a grid. Then I sponged on Tumbled glass over the embossing folder trying to stay out of the tape masking. After that I used acrylic red paint on the flowers. Next I wiped of the grid lines, lightly sprayed with water and then pressed the paper into the embossing folder. After it dried I sponged a grid pattern over it with a stencil. And I managed to use red, white and blue for our great Country!!!

Bravo! What a clever way to approach this challenge! I love the delicacy of the colors and that balancing grid down the left side. It's a really cool effect. Thanks so much for playing the Mix-ability challenge, and GO USA!!
