I changed element number 4 and placed it behind my image. Ally, this was a great sketch and I enjoyed playing today. Here's the story behind the card.
Everyone knows Nana B is absolutely in love with her grandson, Teddy. And when I saw Ally's card sample with the wonderful sentiment it made me think of him. I have been trying to get him to "pucker" his lips when he gives kisses. He normally gives a good ol' open wet one on both your cheeks. So I have been saying to him, "Pucker Up Buttercup" to see if I can get those little baby lips of his to pucker - we're getting close. This afternoon before I left he was giving me zerberts on both cheeks and laughing.
I've used this Penny Black image before - actually on his first birthday card. When I looked again at the title of the stamp and saw the little butterfly giving the Teddy a kiss - well... sometimes it just fits doesn't it (she smiles).
The sentiment is very fitting because Sunday is a big day for Teddy. It is his baby dedication day. Our DIL's pastor and Godfather is here from San Diego to do the service. We have prayed from the beginning that Teddy's light would shine and reflect God's grace, mercy, and love. On Sunday we will again thank the Lord for this precious life.
Pucker up buttercup and let your little light shine!
Love,
Nana B ~
Thank you so much for your visit.

Absolutely adorable card and I love the sentiment. I hope little Teddy will have this card always. My mom died suddenly in her sleep the week after my older son turned 2 and my younger son was 4 momths. Today they are 17 and 18. Not only do we take out and enjoy the years of cards that she made me, but my boys cherish the 3 cards that she made for each of them. May this amazing card be the start of a very large collection of cards for you and your grandson to enjoy. Fantastic job...cards made with love are always the best.
