I really tried to get close to the colors for today. After adding shading and highlights, I realized that the iris is a little oranger than I wanted it to be, but I was at least inspired by the colors for today. It has texture paste on the iris. I think it really adds dimension.

I agree with the texture, adds soo much , super idea. they are pretty in both colors...TFS..:0)

Brilliant to add that paste texture to the iris -- it makes the whole flower - very very pretty!!

Gorgeous and so totally realistic. You have such an eye for flowers and nailing it on the head....or the stamen or, or... Beautiful and that is what it is about, inspiration.
