For the teaparty this week, we are honoring our service men & women, both those who have served & presently serving.
Please allow me some soapbox time. I would like to send my card to a VietNam veteran. Our returning soldiers were treated so badly & I feel they deserve our thanks too & it is long overdue. So if any of you out there know a VietNam vet & would pm me his/her address, I will send this card. My DH is a veteran of that awful war & still today will not talk about it. I don't want to take anything away from those serving today because I am SO GREATFUL to you & your families.
We are the land of the free because of the brave.
Thank you Veterans & present service men/women for you dedication to the Red, White & Blue.

This one is wonderful too. LOVE the Eagles, and how you raised it over a star...TFS...:0)

Very nice patriotic card! My best to all of your family members that have served and are still serving. My husband did 2 years navy and daughter did 24+ years navy and navy reserves with 1 tour in Iraq and sil is still serving at 21+ years in navy reserves with 1 tour in Iraq and 1 tour in Afghanistan!
This challenge is an excellent choice! tfs

Thanks for sharing your write-up, Karen. You made me instantly think of John Denver's Readjustment Blues. I hope that someone was able to give you a contact or an address to send this to a cause that's near to your heart.
