Today's challenge from Dina was a fun one - Reverse Masking. This isn't what I really want to make, but after a long hard week I felt like a making light, easy happy card.
Since both one-layer cards and a lot of white space aren't my style, I've also tagged this for Judy's Not My Style! TLC.
Frame embossed in the card base. I used two reverse masks; first I masked the frame and stamped inside the label with Hardwood in Old Paper. With the mask still on I stamped the poppy. It's coloured with Winsor & Newton watercolours, and a touch of Stickles for the black centre. I cut another reverse mask for just the poppy flower, and stamped the script from French Foliage over the flower. Sponged some blue (it looks softer in real life, but it's getting a bit late for a good daylight photo here), and added dots of white acrylic. Since I also used some pencils to add depth to the poppy, I think I've got plenty enough mediums to count as mixed ;-).

Very pretty Sabrina! I love what you did. I'm going to have to figure out that embossed framing and give it a try. It's a great addition to a card.
Have a good weekend my friend.

I just love how you made the hardwood bkg. The colors are so subtle and beautiful. The flower turned out so well with the print on it. Very pretty card. Hopefully the weekend will be better than your week was.
