I did this bg for the mix a few weeks ago-to use crayons in some way on our creation. It was messy, but boy did I have fun! I melted them and rubbed them around with a tissue when hot. Super fun. I haven't participated in a teapot challenge in some time and thought it fitting that I send a card off to one of our own...iluvscrapping. I am not too familiar with Joann, but I hope this helps to lift her spirits. To see about the teapot destination, check it out here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Wow Pam this looks amazing. It sounds like a very interesting (and dangerous) technique - melting crayons!!! JoAnn is sure to know how much she means to the SCS community. This is such a lovely card.

That's such a great verse for JoAnn with all she's going through. Your background is beautiful in its own right, and makes such a wonderful setting for the lovely butterfly. I'm impressed at the lightness and brightness of your background; the time I tried this mine came out muddy, but you inspire me to try again.

Pam I love that you combined challenges - especially apt when your card is intended for an SCS member! Your card is simply gorgeous - I love your rich BG colors. The crayons have a very dramatic effect. The clean image that you chose for your main image is perfect for your fabulous butterfly. Beautiful, beautiful card. So sorry that I am late in commenting...but thank you so much for coming to JoAnn's teaparty. I'm sure that this will be like a long-distance hug. Now go grab some of those fresh cookies that I put out! Hugz from NJ.
