I had so much fun making this for my mom who loves pears. I started with a dictionary page (p is for pear) and distressed away! I used Espresso paint dauber, Verdigris and chalk inks and some TH Broken China distress paint. I dried it all with my heat gun. I stamped my pear in stazon olive green then did a white wash with Whisper White craft ink before adding the same inks to color the pear. I then went to town removing paint/inks with tape. I laid it down in areas, rubbed a bit, then pulled off the paint. I added some gold Gelato highlights and wet them to spread it around. I took bare wood frames and used the inks, paint, etc and wet a foam brush to spread it around. The main color was Baked Brown Sugar and I just dragged the pad over the surface to start. I've accented with twine, gems, feathers and a cork piece that I also distressed.
Here's my blog post with step by step photos

Beautiful! I love the contrast of the elegant die-cut frame with the rustic coloring you used on it, as well as the twine. The focal image is just lovely. Great card!
