What an interesting challenge. To make something with our birthflower or birthstone. I am hoping that youc an tell by my card that my birthday is in May. In fact it is on Saturday. I don't have any lily of the valley stamps or images, so I could have just done green for the emerald, but I decided to have a little fun and experiment a little. I took 5 different pieces of green dp scraps and tore them and glued them to a piece of white cardstock. Then I took my hot glue gun and I drew the lily of the valley with the glue. When the glue had cooled, I took green and white acrylic paint and painted the glue. I took the left over paint and went over the edges. I took copper metallic rub and put it several places on the card. I also added brads and drywall tape. I like how the metallic rub looks over the drywall tape. When I was done, the flowers didn't pop, like I wanted them to so I took a black ink pen and went around the edges.

What a great mixed media card you've created! I love the look of your lily of the valley. The drywall tape is a cool accent as is the metallic paint rub. Have a wonderful birthday this weekend!!

Cool, MariLynn - I love the glassy effect you achieved on this. It reminds of a vase with little glass lilies of the valley that I used to so admire in a gift shop here and always resisted buying.
