I started the main panel by inking up an acrylic block with distress ink, misting with water and smearing onto the watercolor paper, I repeated the step until I thought I had enough coverage. I wasn't following a tutorial, just doing my own thing!
Next I applied aqua blue acrylic paint using plastic wrap as a tool, then added some white paint and let it all blend together and dry and to speed up the drying I used a heat tool. This step I like because you can watch the changes take place. Such as the blue paint blending with the ink to create a purple hue.
Using a Die Cuts with a View plastic stencil I applied Golden Gel Mediums - Light Molding Paste which created my raised chevron pattern. I let it dry naturally (which doesn't take very long) while I cleaned my stencil and knife which should be done right away before it dries.
I stamped on the SweetStamps - Foliage #1 image in the lower right corner using Memento - Pistachio ink.
Added some white circles with paint and stencil (Crafter's Workshop) then stamped the SweetStamps - Flourishes image using Memento - Lulu Lavender marker for ink.
Very lightly sponged the edges of the panel with the distress ink. I did this step again on the white border once the two panels were attached to each other.
The flower was colored, cut out, dry embossed and attached to the card with foam tape.
