I think my Christmas Theme for this year is going to be Trees...what do you think?!?
The Saturated Watercolored BG really made the cork and tree pop. I also have 4 layers of diecut trees for extra thickness. The last layer I dry EB with my Woodgrain folder. Can you tell the cork is also dry embossed with the same folder? The 1st time I have tried. It worked great.

Terrific card! Love the pop of red behind the cork and tree. I think it's interesting you just tried to emboss cork, so did I, but I didn't use it on my card. Cool effect, yes? I sponged over mine to bring out the embossing, and I used a wood grain folder, too!

Awesome!! Love your saturated watercolor background - you are having fun with this technique!! And you're right, it makes everything pop! Love the white wood grain layer and the wood grain embossing on the tree and cork - so much texture.

I am so impressed! THREE challenges... I love the panel behind your wood grain embossed tree and cork, you were right it makes everything stand out! I DO see Loll's influence here...but you have made it your own for sure! I love your little twine (linen) bow tied with the pearl to that wonderful layered Christmas tree die cut. I noticed you did some shading on the tree as well...I never think to do that! You are so smart to do Christmas cards all year long! GREAT card!

Yes, it looks like your Christmas theme this year might be trees, but what a great theme! You're getting quite a few Christmas card ready to go. I love them all! This is so cool with the woodgrain and cork!

Wonderful woodsy card! While the colors DO suggest Christmas, you could even change the sentiment and have a perfect card for other occasions. Congratulations to you for experimenting with cork in an embossing folder.

A beautiful CAS card, Nancy. I love that you used cork and embossed it. I've never tried that. Trees are just awesome for Christmas. Love your card.
