Jeanne challenged us to use wood in our design which was perfect for doing up this barrel of monkeys for my son's birthday. I had seen some grey tones in the gallery and really like the weathered effect so I chose that. I restamped my barrel on sahara sand and ran some copics over it, then embossed with a twiggy ef and sponged over that with mushroom and grey, cut it out and pieced in the wooden parts.

Oh my goodness, I'm in love with this fab creation!! You pulled off every detail to perfection! Your colouring is fantastic, especially the grass, and the die-cut leaves are arranged beautifully! This is so fun!

Wow...this turned out great. Fantastic coloring on the barrel...it looks just like wood.
The leaves on the top with the button is so reative. Love it, and happy b-day to your son.

Now this is CUTE!! Michele, your coloring of the image is fabulous...and I LOVE the palm frond decoration at the top of the card. Your color choices are beautiful...having a slightly dusky shade. LOVE it!

OMgoodness!!! You must have had a blast making this! I LOVE how your barrel came out!!! Your wood grain looks so real and filled with monkeys... how cute! Your coloring of this scene is truly amazing especially love the shadowing around the barrel, and I love the ef you used for the bg! Your son is going to LOVE this!!!
