The CAS Challenge today is Stars. One of my first thoughts when I think of stars is the Stars & Stripes so that's the direction I went. I used a couple of brand new images & dies from ODBD which will be released on May 1. I also combined a couple of previous releases.
I started by die cutting the large heart on the white, then stamping both sentiments using a combination of the red & blue inks. I added a few more stars from the Some Gave All sentiment & then I had to add some red & blue splatter because apparently I can't keep my inky mitts away from white space. But I like the splatter so all's well that ends well. The patriotic heart was stamped using the same inks and die cut. The angel wings & star were all die cut.
Thanks so much for stopping by! And if you see a man or woman in uniform, please shake their hand & say "Thanks so much for your service!" It's just been posted on my blog: The Write Stuff

Wow! Your patriotic card is awesome. I love the wings and the splatters come in so handy, sometimes. :-) And, they look great at the same time. I'll pin this one.
Beautiful, yet sad at the same time.

Very appropriate release with Memorial Day coming up next month. Your card is beautiful, Julie, and so well designed to show a patriotic and grateful feeling.
