This card is for three challenges: MIX65 "Back to Kindergarten" - to incorporate crayons into your project (along with at least one other medium); F4A218 "Stars on THARS" - to use a STAR of some sort ... big, small ... punched, die cut, stamped ... you name it!!!; WT476 "Arbor Day" - Let's put some trees on our cards. They can be stamped, digis, diecuts, branches, trunks of trees.
I chose to incorporate Crayola by using crayon resist. After embossing watercolor paper with the Starry Nights folder, I left the paper in the folder and rubbed white Crayola across the surface. I took the paper out and wet the paper with a brush and applied a lot of blue watercolor. When it dried, I went back over the stars with a damp q-tip to remove the excess color from the stars, and brushed them with Wink of Stella for some sparkle. I cut all the pieces for my scene, added Wink of Stella to the moon and put the scene together. I love how this turned out, it will be my husband's anniversary card (25 yrs!); he didn't know he was a cat lover until he met me, LOL!
As always, thanks for looking!

Awww - how sweet! I LOVE this adorable scene! The best advise my Mother ever gave me was to marry someone who loves cats. I did, and believe it or not his love for cats was actually part of the attraction.

Way to go...3 challenges in one card and each chalkenge turned out great. I had a major fail with the crayon resist technique, so I am even more amazed at how fantastic your stary sky turned out. The black images look stunning against the blue bkg. Just a lovely card and so perfect for your special anniversary.

I love silhouetted scenes! Yours is beautiful. The starry sky is just the right colour lit up by the full moon. Your kitties and tree are match in scale really well. Love this card!
