Today Audrie took us to The Grommet for inspiration. Amazing site. I wish I had time to play some more!
Is it OK to say I love this card!? I had an unusal inspiration in this funeral urn. I like the silhouette against the orange sky. The background is sponged & I masked a horizon line, but then added the ribbon. It is a narrow white margin & that is mounted onto Basic Black. I thought about using the brayer, but liked the softness of the sponging.
Thanks for stopping by.

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?

I really like all those shadows you achieved by sponging, Karen! Very pretty indeed! Oh, I can see why you (and Sallie) would think my card was done in black and grays. Eggplant is very dark, but IRL it definitely looks purple! My mom will enjoy it next month~

Your card design came out very pretty - like sunlight is shining behind it! Your inspiration piece was 'very interesting' - something I had never heard of before. Who knew you could even get inspired from an urn!
