As soon as I saw this weeks WT476 Arbor Day Challenge I knew I had to play. I do LOVE trees and I have really been wanting to pair this Sizzix medium Pine Tree Die with my new Pebbles Stencil that I just received from my talented and generous girl friend Loll Thompson. I wanted a moss effect on the stone wall like we have on our rocks in our gardens.
I taped down the stencil with post it notes onto my V Vanilla CS, then sponged entirely with Sahara Sand ink. Then sponged again lightly and randomly on areas of the stencil with Almost Artichoke. Then I added the Golden's Modeling Paste with my palette knife very liberally. I did not want a smooth finish. It is a Stone Wall after all :-)
I LOVED the effect. It did take overnight to dry.
Just added the tree that I diecut 3 times for thickness sponging the edges and off setting a tiny bit for a little shadow effect. I rounded 2 corners on the sentiment tag so it would blend better with the round rocks.
I added the dots and rhinestone to the sentiment and popped up my tree and tag. Very simple card to make and I am really pleased with the results.
My best critic...my DH Denny really liked it too :-)
Enjoy and Happy Tree Stamping!

Very cool effect for the stone wall, and the tree looks fantastic! Really like the rounded colors on the sentiment.
