Look what arrived in my mailbox!
I just want to share this very special set of Inchies made by my Bestie, Susan. These are some of her very first Inchie creations. In honor of our 50 years (omg!) of friendship, Susan created these with extra loving hands. Each one has a personal note (made me cry) on the back sharing our childhood memories throughout the years - mud pies, school years, playing dress up and years of writing long distance letters. Yes folks, the old fashioned snail mail kind. These Inchies will always be very dear to my heart and will be framed.
Susan used the Burlap Paper from DCWV mounted to chipboard for the base. I love all the texture. The flowers were made by wrapping the cord/thread several times around a very long needle and glued in place using Glossy Accents. The green vine weaving throughout to connect each inchie represents the special bond that we share. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch using glitter paper.
Thank you for visiting today.

I had so much fun making this for my 'forever' friend! We've shared a good portion of our lives... we might as well share art too! This is my first Inchie Set...ever!! So, I was a little unsure of myself at times, but I just went with my instinct and some great guidance from Deb! (She didn't know I was working on it!)

Yoo Hoo.... Susan..... You really should open a gallery for yourself here on SplitCoast.
These inchies are perfect for your debut.
Listen to Deb and jump in the pool.
You might as well since you already drank the Kool-Aid! LOL
And Susan did open a gallery - WOOT! Deb, it was just marvelous to see your dearest friend Susan join SCS and touching to see how special you are to her as reflected in her inchie sets. Happy 50!
