At one of my commercial pools, I became friends with a lady that just turned 91. Let me tell you, she is so spunky! We talk on the phone to give each other the answers to the Word Jumble from the newspaper. I usually cheat with the computer, not her. She figures them out all by her lonesome using her outdated dictionary. hehe
She recently moved into a place that serves two meals a day, has lots of activities and her favorite thing Happy Hour on Thursdays. She loves her wine. hehe This card is for her......details....
I dry eb the palm tress coloring them with pan pastels. I masked in the sun, added the sunrays.
The sentiment was done on the computer, cut out, glued on then doodled around. Stamped the clouds.
I might have to deliver this in person with perhaps a bottle of wine. She'd get a kick out of that I am sure especially if I helped her drink it. hehe
Have a great day all. TFL :0)

Cute card and what a nice story. I have several "older than me" people in my life who are just a hoot. I hope when I get as old as they are I can be as spunky, fit, gracious and funny as they are.

Cathy thanks for sharing such a lovely story and of course a gorgeous card. We have a beautiful 96 year old neighbour that bakes scones for us (and enjoys a quiet glass of wine with me).

Haahaa! So funny, when I looked at your card at first I thought the bottom (brass stencil) was part of the card and thought "how the heck did she do that???""" Ya, I need new glasses! Love your palm trees and you must be on vaca right!? Happy hour in the evening and sun and beach during the day!

Your cards always remind me of 'Happy Hour", they have a way of making people smile. I realized along time ago, it doesn't matter how old you are, just as long as you are young at heart. Your friend sounds like she's has a young heart. Thanks for making the gallery a happy place with your card.

This is so awesome; I know your friend will love it even without the wine ((but you should definitely do that!). So fun and so special!
