At one of my commercial pools, I became friends with a lady that just turned 91. Let me tell you, she is so spunky! We talk on the phone to give each other the answers to the Word Jumble from the newspaper. I usually cheat with the computer, not her. She figures them out all by her lonesome using her outdated dictionary. hehe
She recently moved into a place that serves two meals a day, has lots of activities and her favorite thing Happy Hour on Thursdays. She loves her wine. hehe This card is for her......details....
I dry eb the palm tress coloring them with pan pastels. I masked in the sun, added the sunrays.
The sentiment was done on the computer, cut out, glued on then doodled around. Stamped the clouds.
I might have to deliver this in person with perhaps a bottle of wine. She'd get a kick out of that I am sure especially if I helped her drink it. hehe
Have a great day all. TFL :0)

Cathy, this is a WONDERFUL card for your special friend. I'm sure she appreciates your friendship as much as you do hers. In CA, you would think of palms when you see the word "trees"...something we don't have here in the Midwest. : ) Love this card that will surely bring a smile to her face.

What a cute and inviting card! It is so cute that your friend is so full of spunk and that you are so sweet to her. I know she appreciates your friendship. Mercy me, after the last few weeks here, maybe a Happy Hour would do me good.
I can do without the wine so your friend can have it-Happy Hour to me would be at this beach with sun and palm trees. I might take some lemonade, though. Thanks, for sharing your cute card.

That is so sweet of you to befriend an older gal, Cathy! It's interesting how the older we get, it's only our looks that change, inside we still feel the same. This card should bring a big smile to her face!

As I imbibe in my Happy Hour glass of wine, I have to say this is just perfect!! I love it..so creative to have the palm trees and the reflection of the trees as the base. I loved hearing the story of your friend...I have a couple of senior friends (one 92) who I volunteer with and they truly enrich my life!
