yep, it took 3 in the garbage backgrounds before I got one that appealed to my sensibilities! So 4th time I am singing a tune here with the CAS this week, a color challenge. Thanks Mary (octoberbabe) for the beautiful feathered tones palette from Design Seeds.
I won't bore you with my three 'experiments', but the color blocked bg was created with what I thought were old dried out Marvy Markers on the Hero Arts 'Shadow Stamp' I found at the Goodwill like 7 years ago (I knew it would be useful one day!!!). I cut the bg off center and added a bit of Washi music tape to support my sentiment which was stamped onto the acetate with Stazon 'Cotton White'. It reads,
What you once were and who you are now becoming is
where the dance of life really takes place.
Isn't that a totally cool positive message any of us could remember on a daily basis?????
And how about my shadow girl who could represent any one of us???...Well, when I looked at the CAS challenge last night, I didn't have any particular thing that 'SPRANG' forth from my gray matter, so this morning as I was reading the newspaper with my DH, I came across an ad which had this shadow. I knew she needed to be 'released' from the bounds of that paper and so I fussy cut her to freedom!
Hope you break out into spontaneous dancing at some point in your day, my friends...not the forced , but from the music mix that makes you happy!
Thanks for stopping by...

Oh my gosh, do I ever remember Elaine's dancing!!!!???? What was that???
LOL My laugh for today.
Susan, I love your silhouette and the way you put this card together....over a newspaper ad. Great colors from the challenge and a wonderful sentiment, too. I love how you think out of the box and come up with the "bestest stuff".
She is truly free now.
