This is the back view of an Easter bucket that I decorated for my daughter (my gallery has the side view with the Easter eggs if you wanted to have a peek). Now that my daughter has her Easter gift in her hot little hands (it is already Easter here in Australia - yippee!), I can share it here.
The bunny bottom is a CASE from Sue Nelson aka Susie B from her Gallery here on SCS: Bottoms Up Bunny Easter Pail by Susie B at Splitcoaststampers from 2007 and I have had it in my Favourites all this time. Thank you Sue for your inspiration over many, many years that you have given me :-)
The project was very quick and easy and took about 15 minutes all up. I used different tools to do mine compared to Sue. The bunny bottom was diecut using my Big Shot and Lifestyle Nesting Circles die. The oval feet were diecut using a Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities die. The large heart was punched using a Carl CP-1 Heart punch and the small hearts were punched using a Carl CP-2 Heart duo punch (I used the smallest heart on the set).
I did two layers of hearts compared to Sue's version. The pom-pom is called a "Yarn pom-pom". I then glued the finished bunny bottom to the bucket using a Hot Glue Gun because the glue dries so quickly and the bunny bottom is very firmly attached.
The white bucket came from my local supermarket in a set of 3 and is about 3 inches high (or 7.5 centimetres) so is very small in real life - it just looks big in the photo. I am sure you could adapt the bunny bottom to any size you want if you wanted to use it on a bigger bucket or gift box.
Thanks for having a peek at my project. Please come and peek at my blog - this link will take you directly to my blog post which also has more Easter projects that I have been working on: http://www.instead-of-ironing.blogsp...er-wishes

I'm not , generally speaking, a fan of "bottoms", but (or butt) this is just way TOO CUTE! Your daughter is one lucky little girl! I'll bet she loved this.
