This is for the mixed media challenge Spring & Easter.
It is very common here to have huge easter egg hunts in local botanical gardens. Here we have the grand gates leading into the gardens.
The background was made using Dylusions ink spray. I sprayed the ink onto a large sheet of foil, spritzed it with water then pressed white cardstock into it.
I wiped some areas at random with a baby wipe, sponged on some distress ink, then spritzed the entire card with water. The trees were dabbed into the remains of ink. After everything air dried I stuck it on a white card and doodled a fine border.
Thank you for looking, I will be back to comment soon.

Susie, this is so beautiful...and I know it is autumn where you are, but it does look like spring on your card with all those lovely shades of green. Love your lacy grand gates and delicate tree die cuts.

You have been busy with dylusions...I can't wait to try your idea with the foil. Your bkg is stunning with the bright white fence. I can imagine kids behind the gate looking for eggs..of course they are the adorable kids from your cards (with all of their body parts in tact). My hands are still a little fushia and blue from using dylusions...yous must be green.

That background is fantastic, Susie. Almost it makes up for the fact that today was so grey here that I decided it simply wasn't worth going to our botanic gardens, which is on my current to-do list. It reminds me of a story in a much-loved childhood book with that gate opening into it. Into my favourites .

Susie, that background is gorgeous! What a beautiful scene.I love your bright spring colors. We could use some of that color here. We finally have some hardy flowers blooming, but no leave on the trees yet.
