A fun, thoughtful challenge today in the Ways to Use it.
Springs means New Beginnings. Something new, but at least a month 'old'. I've got three things that met the challenge, the metal blossom I received from Shadow's Mom in a goody package recently, the 3-d 'B' that was embossed with red ep, and both fancy brads. I am still a sucker for embellies....
This card is also for the Sketch Challenge 482. I enjoyed lining up all those rectangles!
My card is also based on our Featured Stamper this week, jkanack. I found tres chic. I loved the humor, how Jean tore the front edge to expose the newsprint on the inside, the sponging on the edges and of course, Maxie's hatbox! I didn't have the exact stamp that Jean used, but I had the Maxie only bust. I took my 'mechanical' RBBB stamp , stamped the image and then turned it backwards. The bottom of the hat box was embossed with one of the TH ef/s. I placed Maxie inside the hat box, dressed her with a lace color, added red newsprint skull cap, the flower and a heart shaped beauty mark. The red 'B' and the small 'good' were used in place to the Kid's Quotes stamp, though I'll use the rest of the sentiment on the inside.
There were quite a few of us that had travels with Maxie a few years ago...Peggy, I think we need to go traveling or send Maxie out into the world again...what do you say???

Susan and Maxie together again. I always wanted to ask if you named her Maxie or if this is really the name of the stamp. I have Maxie but never looked to see if that name is on the side. She could also be called Colette, I think. I love this playful but sophisticated art. She is such a cool customer. Thanks Susan for adding more loveliness to my gallery.

Omygosh dear Susan! I just love this card. I was aiming to make a bdaycard for my step daughter who is moving into a first time lived in appartment soon, and we were all excited about it. It looks really pretty. Soooo...you might see Maxie moving in style before the week is done yet.
You sure did make her look classy and original with all that beautiful lace and the heart on her cheek, just what Maxie would love.
