A mixed media piece. I started out with coating the paper with gesso, then dripped acrylic paints in sky blue, turquoise, and sandstone on the page and sprayed with water and let the paints blend into each other. When dry, I stamped the ODB 'It is Well with my Soul' music score all over the page. then a thin streaking of gesso. I cut the scripture verse out of a church bulletin cover. I liked the font and colours, so left it as it was. The verse speaks of measuring, so I added a strip of ruler tape, which was yellow, but I coloured it with a combo of Distress Paint, water based ink and a gelato. I used a clip art 'scales of justice' image and fussy cut it and adhered it to the lower right edge. Then I used a purple and green gelato, applied to the paper in several areas and wet my finger and rubbed the colour in.

Ina, this is fabulous! What a beautiful piece you created! Love the mixed media and that powerful sentiment! What fun you must have had creating this and what a fantastic result!
What a beautiful background you have created with mixed media, and I love the Scripture you have chosen for this month. Thanks for participating in our Bible Verse Challenge. :-) LM

You have such a beautiful gallery, Ina! I loved spending time here this morning. I love, love, love the diverse images and that you work with so many techniques and styles. Such wonderful creativity!! Thank you for the kind comments on my chicken/rooster card yesterday. My daughter said "well Mom it's not one of your best". Hysterical! LOL Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!
