This is a birthday card I made for my SIL. The sweet teddy bear image is from a very old retired Stampin' Up! set called "Gift Tags" and the sentiment is part of the stamp. Even though technically the stamp is meant for a Gift Tag, I personally think it is cute enough to use on a card as I just ADORE teddy bears especially the old SU teddy bears as they don't seem to date!
The image was coloured with a mix of Tombow Pens + Faber-Castell and Lyra watercolor pencils and a paintbrush. I added Kindyglitz Crystalina glitter glue to the present/bow, the heart on the bear, the teddy's bow plus his cheeks. I lightly coloured around the image with Kaisercolour blue chalk.
The tiny little hearts either side of the sentiment were made using the leftover punchies from my EK Success Arrows border punch and I added some glitter to them too.
The main image panel cardstock layers were diecut using a Lifestyle Circle die and a Spellbinders Blossom die and my Big Shot. I thought the Blossom die matched the flowers on the designer paper really nicely.
The designer paper is by Echo Park: Sweet Girl 6" x 6" pad. The cardstock base and layers were trimmed to 1/8" and 1/4" using my Perfect Layers Tools.
I glued on the three Sparklets using Helmar Tiger Grip glue. Lastly, I tied on the 2 different coloured twines and added Fray Stop to the cut ends to stop them from fraying.
Thanks for having a peek at my card! Please come and peek at my blog - this link will take you directly to my card: http://instead-of-ironing.blogspot.c...eddy-bear.html I have a close-up photo of the main image so you can see the detail a bit better.

Oh such beautiful colouring! I think you are very right that this image is perfect for a card and not to be restricted to gift tags! I love arching sentiments and this makes such a great pairing with the image. Sweet bright colours and great twine embellishment sure pulls this together wonderfully. Lovely card!
