Yay it is tickle a Teapotter time once again. Mary wrote the most gorgeous poem about fairies this week. Our challenge is to honour the fairies and the flowers of our birth month. I was hoping that June was a flat flower like a daisy or a weed or something, but no such luck. Roses are the flower for June, if I am tickled by someone that has a “fat” flower, please feel free to dead-head it to save on postage.
It is autumn in Aus and down here in Melbourne all the roses have gone to the big compost bin in the sky, hence a garden of bushes and trees only. Here we have Tilly and Milly visiting Rose Cottage. Milly is at the bottom of the garden looking for fairies, whilst little Tilly is keeping watch, as Milly is technically trespassing.
Milly is wearing a very cute little paper pieced dress complete with a contrasting ruffle. Had I known she would be hiding at the bottom of the garden, she probably wouldn’t have been so nicely dressed. I don’t really have a plan when I make these step cards, they just seem to unfold.
Like Milly, young Tilly started out life as a Sassy Cheryl digi image. At first I though I had amputated her arms, I looked in my little box of body parts and couldn’t find the arms anywhere. In desperation I went to the place of their birth (..my documents digi images..) and discovered that Tils’ little arms are actually tucked behind her back, so no harm done to her arms, her head however is a different story. I tried so hard to blend her hair with copics, pencils and solvent that I rubbed a hole in her head. I quickly fashioned a little hat appropriate for someone keeping a look out for the authorities.
On a personal note, I had a good week, even though my downstairs lady bits still glow in the dark. Thank you for the many suggestions, my favourite was to add bling!!! DH just shakes his head and laughs every time he sees me at my craft desk. Ahh life is good.
Thank you for looking and have a great week everyone.

Oh Susie..........so glad to hear you didn't amputate any body parts this week!! ha ha Love this card. I flew into LAX a few years ago and visited a lovely tearoom call The Rose Cottage. I seek out tearooms as well as gardens whenever I travel. Another passion of mine! So glad your week was a good one. I'm sorry you are going into winter..... we are scheduled to have snow flurries AGAIN today!! I want warmth and my garden growing!!! :)

My goodness, these step cards are amazing! I LOVE her little hat and the faux stitching on the bitty clothes. I have no clue how you do the siding but it sure looks real. There is SO much to look at there, like the awning, the curtains and the little person behind the weeds. Lucky the person who gets this!
